Our cloud-based, cross regulation SaaS platform allows banks, brokers, hedge funds, asset managers, insurance companies and corporates to comply with global regulatory requirements.

Cappitech is a dynamic team working within S&P Global, where the passionate R&D department plays a central role, aligning with the business using any relevant technology.

The Technology team works closely with all the teams within R&D to excel in the achievement of requirements and timelines. It provides system and software designs, writes relevant libraries and frameworks, defines coding and process rules, maintains technical knowledge levels with trainings, and supports our development teams every day.

Duties and Responsibilities – “Your Role”

The Technology team is looking for a senior backend developer to tackle the workbook of the team.

We offer you an excellent opportunity to:

  • Write libraries to be used by the whole R&D over reusable components of our system.
  • Participate to the design meetings and impact their outcomes.
  • Implement proper coding guidelines and valid paradigms.
  • Work on components all over the stack and its specific technologies.
  • Be a point of reference for other developers over knowledge, advice, review, and training.
  • Work within a global team, with multiple cultures and locations.
  • Interact directly with both developers and tech leads.

Job Requirements – “About You”

You are a passionate senior developer who believes in doing things right.

You attach high importance to code quality, know how to write proper code and are ready to take ownership when necessary.

With your skills and your experience, you code your way to a great product. From a spec or existing code, you collaborate with your team members to come up with a viable implementation, which you can explain to others.
 

Opened to others, you are available and responsive to questions, discussions, and reviews.
You feel comfortable training others on the topics you master and on the code you write.

You know that the team is a unit, the success of a person comes with the success of its team.

Expected skills/experience:

  • At least 8+ years of experience in software development using software applications using languages and technologies of the .NET framework. A solid knowledge of C# & SQL Server. possess a strong understanding of software design and architecture
  •  Proven record of design, develop and perform architecture changes, by collaborating with technical and non-technical business stakeholders efficiently. Provide detailed & accurate estimates for code development efforts.
  • Familiar with Cloud
  • A good knowledge and understanding of the whole stack. Upgrading, configuring and debugging existing systems
  • Fluent English
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Team player
  • Background with fintech or regulation technology is desirable.
  • Ability to lead team is added advantage.
