About Payroll Tribe
Specialising in core payroll functions, this tribe handles end-to-end payroll cycles, customer payroll views, reconciliation, exception management, and global payroll migration, with an emphasis on precise calculation and disbursement.

We are on the lookout for engineering leaders who are passionate about technology and people. As a leader, you will play a significant role in growing the engineering team and leading them on technology products that will spell the dominance of Multiplier in this space.

What will I be doing?

  • Own and lead a sizeable technology product at Multiplier from inception to launch. You will play a key role in working with your engineering team to develop the best technology product that works for our customers and partners.
  • Working closely with our product and design teams to build products to delight and increase the success of our customers, in a very iterative fashion.
  • Architecting, building, testing, and releasing features with the highest quality. You will be very involved at the ground level and work closely with engineers to identify and improve team, product, and engineering quality. You will focus a good portion of your time on contributing and reviewing code.
  • Involve in the hiring process to identify and hire the best engineers around the world for your team and the rest of the engineering team too.
  • Help shape the engineering and team culture by working closely with your reports and helping them grow their career at Multiplier by giving frequent guidance and motivation.

What do I need?

  • 10+ years of industry experience in software engineering and 2+ years as an engineering leader managing a team of engineers to deliver sizeable products.
  • You have experience in leading product teams and building SaaS products. You can demonstrate the significant impact that your work has had on the product and the team, ideally in a high-growth product company.
  • Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (Such as Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, etc.) but it doesn’t need to be a language that we use here! Great people are effective and learn what we use quickly (or introduce us to better ways of working)
  • Good understanding of web fundamentals (JavaScript/HTML/CSS) and exposure to one or more Front End stacks (such as React, VueJS, Svelte, Angular etc)
  • Experience in working with cloud infrastructure on AWS, Google Cloud, and the like. Experience in scalable distributed systems.
  • Very good understanding and experience in agile approaches to building and delivering software. Have experience in building automated delivery of software to practice incremental development of product.
  • Extremely data-driven in how you make decisions.
  • Work with and solve problems of a very complex nature and enjoy doing it 🙂
  • Experience in the overall hiring process of engineering talent and can take on challenging goals in this respect.
