Job description

 
Basic Function

It’s an exciting time to join the HF Sinclair Marketing Team in our Retail Fuels Division.  Over the last 100+ years we have grown to over 1,500 Sinclair sites and have an ambitious growth plan to continue growing significantly over the coming years.

 

HF Sinclair in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced loyalty program professional to join our Brand Marketing Team to take our loyalty program to the next level.  Today we have our DINOPAY mobile app which offers mobile payments and fuel discounts to our consumers. We are looking to grow and expand our program beyond these capabilities to attract new consumers and retain ones, while also enhancing our value proposition for our Distributor Wholesalers to join and continue representing the Sinclair brand.

 

We are also looking to implement an automated email marketing program to support our loyalty program.

 

Job Duties
  • Update and enhance our Loyalty Program with new creative structures, strategies and offers beyond fuel
  • Build a Loyalty Program roadmap to continuously enhance & add new capabilities to the program to drive user acquisition, retention, and engagement
  • Continuously assess the competitive landscape and update our discount offering in a strategic manner
  • Create and launch the introduction of automated email marketing via consumer journey email campaigns to grow engagement with our brand and sales
  • Obtain and analyze loyalty insights and data to continuously enhance our program
  • Work with and support Brand & Strategy Manager and Advertising & Media Manager to create effective integrated marketing campaigns
  • Work hand-in-hand with our GM of Payments & Payment Systems and our third-party vendors to continuously update our mobile app
  • Lead & manage strategic partnership with external agency partners, including contracting
  • Partner with the greater Marketing Team on pricing and discounting strategy
  • Work with our distributors to continuously enhance our loyalty program

Experience

7+ years of professional marketing experience

3+ years managing, growing and marketing a consumer loyalty program

3+ years creating effective and engaging email marketing campaigns

End-to-end experience managing creative production execution with agencies

Creating clear, effective and detailed agency briefs to ensure efficient execution

Experience working with a top tier customer loyalty & engagement platform and app (i.e. Punchh)

Delivering sophisticated projects by collaborating with and delivering through others

Managing medium to large marketing agency relationships

Creating new strategies and implementing them to deliver results

Engaging and collaborating with franchisees/distributors/retail site owners

 

Preferred Experience:

Experience in assigned petroleum product is preferred.

Education Level

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a similar business related field.

 

 

Required Skills

Experience creating automated email marketing strategy and flows for journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar platform) that an agency will create in SFMC. 

Experience with understanding and self-service leveraging of insights from email marketing platform to modify and enhance journeys.

Understanding of multi-channel UI & UX and journey mapping from the consumer standpoint

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and derive actionable insights.

Strong business and financial acumen

Proficiency in CRM software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite

Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and customer-centric solutions

Presentation to groups of all sizes

Strong organizational skills & project management

Collaborating with team, cross-functional team and customers

 

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with Agile methodology and ways of working

Enhancing loyalty mobile app functionalities such as gamification, contests, 3rd-party offer development, etc.

Creation and programming of Salesforce Marketing Cloud journeys

Experience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud (or similar CRM platform)

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Potentially 1 dotted line Marketing Implementer to support with certain job duties and responsibilities.

Work Conditions

Hybrid – In general, work from home on Mondays and Fridays, work from Salt Lake City office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  On occasion there will be a business need to come to the office on a Monday or a Friday.  Certain events, sponsorships and trade shows may require to work on a weekend.

 

Travel – 10-25% by land and air required. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.
