Investment Services Private Markets

We manage deal structuring, due diligence and closing. We provide financial operations to GIC’s private equity, infrastructure, and Private Markets assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting.

 

Finance & Accounting

You will help to provide financial deal due diligence, financial controllership, treasury and funding, valuation management, investment operations, accounting, financial reporting, and special purpose vehicle management for GIC’s investments.

 

What impact can you make in this role?

You will be part of a team that is an integrated investment service team that partners the business in providing services to support public markets investment.

 

What will you do as an VP of Investment Operations? 

Private Markets Investment Operations:

  • Process owner for operational processes, in relation to Private Markets investments
  • Ensure service delivery of the Operations team within agreed Service Level Agreement
  • Drive operations process optimization through deep understanding of end-to-end investment life cycle activities and applying market leading practices and technology
  • Review and adapt existing policies and frameworks to better meet changing business needs and risk mitigation
  • Develop strong working relationships with business stakeholders and other functional teams

 

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 12 years’ of relevant experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on fund controllership and outsourcing
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing outsourcing solutions for private and alternative asset types
  • Strong understanding of investment operations, and related requirements
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive change and improve operational efficiency
  • Strong leadership, influence and team management skills
  • Strong analytical skills; able to resolve business problems with well-structured analysis
  • Data driven, experienced in deriving insights from large data sets is preferred
  • Proactive, high-energy, motivated team player capable of delivering on multiple initiatives
