Job Description & Summary
A career in our Risk Modeling Services practice will provide you with the opportunity to contribute general insurance advice and consulting services to clients such as insurers, banks, regulators, and third party administrators. You’ll provide advice covering solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modelling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes. Simply put, you might help analyse the impact that new regulation will have on an insurance company’s balance sheet or you could be revising businesses’ projections and making sure they have adequate reserves.
Our team helps insurers address new financial reporting requirements by assessing the financial and business impacts of regulations, building implementation plans, and implementing relevant requirements, particularly across areas of financial reporting change.

Demonstrates thought leader level knowledge and/or success in roles involving the directing of efforts to identify and address client needs for life reinsurance, emphasizing the following areas:
- Preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials;
- Designing life reinsurance solutions which meet the requirements of the cedant;
- Pricing life reinsurance contracts to meet both client needs and performance metrics;
- Evaluating alternative pricing and design structures for life reinsurance contracts;
- Defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection;
- Using spreadsheets, database and/or other actuarial software-related technologies;
- Writing, communicating, facilitating, and presenting cogently; to and/or for all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff and management;
- Leading and directing teams, including demonstrated ability to generate a compelling vision, establish clear direction, and motivate team members; and,
- Creating an environment of trust that embraces diverse viewpoints, while also coaching and empowering staff to drive improvement and foster innovation. Demonstrates thought leader level knowledge of and/or is recognized as an industry thought leader with demonstrated success in roles directing technical actuarial subject matter specialization, especially in Life reinsurance pricing.

The salary range for this position is: $119,000 - $389,500, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
