Position Overview: Director, Product Management

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Product Management to lead our product strategy and execution. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure our products meet market demands and exceed stakeholder expectations. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our product portfolio.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s overall objectives and market trends.
  • Product Roadmap: Create and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on business goals, stakeholder needs, and market opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Market & Stakeholder Insights: Conduct market research, gather stakeholder feedback, and analyze commercial offerings to inform product decisions and ensure strategic fit.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, finance, legal, HR other departments to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform ongoing improvements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for product-related communications with senior leadership, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Budget Management: Manage the product management budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a technology company.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate business goals into actionable product strategies.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of technology and product development processes, with the ability to engage with engineering teams on technical issues.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Customer Focus: A deep commitment to understanding and serving the needs of customers.
