Job Summary

The Power BI Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into insights by developing relevant BI Dashboards in solving business challenges.  The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for data visualization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
• Work with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, providing insights, solutions, and business narratives
• Understand how to create data models and establish connections to various data sources (ex. Connect via AWS Databricks, SQL databases, etc.)
• Design robust data visualizations that provide clear and actionable insights relevant
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards and be able to use DAX and PowerQuery functionalities to create new variables/features in the dashboards.
• Is able to provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and functionalities.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate Power BI solutions with other systems.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Specialist, Business Intelligence Developer, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
• Experience with SQL and other data querying languages.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of additional BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Power BI or related technologies are a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
