Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of intelligent software solutions and machine learning applications to enhance battery technology.
  • Partner with the CEO to drive the company's technical strategy and serve as a technical thought leader.
  • Collaborate on product roadmaps and ensure technology strategy, system architecture, and development tools support the timely delivery of features and improvements to meet our commitments.
  • Drive research and development initiatives to stay ahead of industry trends, fostering a culture of continuous innovation and improvement.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering collaboration, creativity, and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, industry partners, and stakeholders to identify technological advancements and strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Drive efficient and effective resource allocation and on-time technical deliverables.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a VP of Technology, Engineering, or similar leadership role in the battery, ML/AI, or Cloud/Embedded software industry.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; PhD’s degree preferred.
  • Deep understanding of battery technology, big data, privacy-preserving technologies, machine learning, and/or intelligent software development.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successfully developed playbooks for growing a technology organization within a scale-up environment.
  • Extensive experience in technology architecture strategy and cloud architecture.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse and talented team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to haves

  • System-level knowledge of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Experience in component and system-level applications in vehicle electrification.
