As Virtuagym keeps on growing, we are now looking for a new face to complement our team. As a Accounting Specialist you will be joining our Global Finance Team. Will you join us to create a healthier and happier world?


This is a remote position from Colombia, where you will be working for our global teams. We are a remote-friendly company, meaning you can work from your home whenever you want and of course at our office in Medellin. It’s up to you! Additionally, you can work from any location you want within the Americas for up to 4 weeks at a time for a maximum of 12 weeks in a year. This is a full-time position.


What this role looks like:

As our Accounting Specialist, you will be maintaining and optimizing our company financial operations, overseeing all the accounting operations to meet the legal requirements.

You are part of a diverse and international Finance team where you manage the financial aspects of a business like accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting.


Some of your key tasks as a Accounting Specialist: 

  • Bank statement imports, including bank reconciliation and preparing the cash flow statement for the management.

  • Preparing and processing payments to suppliers, payments to tax authorities and salaries.

  • Gathering and delivering all purchase invoices to the accounting firm, correct recognition of costs and accruing costs.

  • Processing, double-checking and delivering intercompany invoices to the head office.

  • Reviewing and translating financial statements and reports delivered by the accounting firm and reporting the accurate numbers to the head office, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.

  • Collect information from HR and prepare payroll payments for employees.

  • Reconciling intercompany transactions, understanding rebilling of gods and services and processing the general ledger adjustments in the P&L.

  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Team and VP of Finance to streamline Financial planning and decision making.

  • Timely processing of the period close, processing all the month end adjustments, including accruals and provisions.
