Sr. Data Analytics Consultant:

RxBenefits is hiring! We are adding a Data Analytics Consultant to our growing team. The Data Analytics Consultant is a remote, work from home position and is responsible for strategic oversight of assigned Product/Portfolio analytics, as well as ad-hoc reporting for RxBenefits’ Account Management team.  This position provides mentorship and training as appropriate to new hires, participates in the evaluation of the feasibility of proposed products, executes on data and modeling needs in relation to those new products, and serves as a data liaison to internal partners.  This position works with various individuals within the organization including the Executive Team, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Account Management, Clinical, Sales Directors and Product Owners/Managers in developing and executing analytic deliverables.

 

Job Responsibilities Include: 

  • Drive strategy for analytics that support RxBenefits' Program/Product portfolio.
  • Participate in evaluation and execution of proposed new products through a data analytics lens, providing input on necessary components for successful launch.
  • Support new and existing products through data analysis and model building.
  • Participate in all required meetings surrounding assigned products, including Evaluation and Scrum ceremonies.
  • Interact and communicate successfully with multiple departments to ensure a shared product vision and understanding of timeline and milestones.
  • Manage multiple products with competing timelines simultaneously.
  • Utilize SQL and SAS languages to complete ad-hoc analytics data requests; for example: therapeutic categories, formulary/network disruption, drivers of trend to include but not limited to cost, utilization, clinical.
  • Analyze detailed claims data from internal claims processing system and external sources.
  • Conduct peer reviews and code assessments, maintenance, and improvements.
  • Maintain and improve reporting tools relative to industry evolution.
  • Articulate analytic results, assumptions, and logic to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support short and long term operational/strategic business activities through analysis as needed.

 

Required Skills / Experience Include: 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in an Employee Benefits and/or Pharmacy Benefit Management analytical role/environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum process
  • Extensive knowledge and use of PC based software programs to include but not limited to: Enterprise Guide or SAS clone (such as WPS), Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, V & H lookups; Macro knowledge is a plus), SQL Server Management Studio, etc.
  • Moderate to expert skill level in the function and manipulation of SQL and SAS languages.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience and comfortability working in advanced financial spreadsheets.
  • Ability and desire to research and resolve data anomalies and financial conflicts.
  • Ability to think critically; recognize and apply (and/or adjust) precedence to future situations.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly convey results, methodology, assumptions etc.

 

Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $95,200 - $110,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals.
