Iovance Biotherapeutics is a fast-growing cell therapy company focused on developing life-saving novel cancer immunotherapies. We believe Iovance TIL has the potential to become a mainstay treatment for thousands of people diagnosed with cancer. Critical to our success is our Commercial COC/COI (chain of custody and chain of identity) and patient delivery platform built on Salesforce.com. As a key technical team member of our Salesforce Team, we are looking for a passionate, driven individual with a deep background in Salesforce.com development. This will be a hands-on position where you will leverage your coding and design knowledge to help us build a state-of-the-art patient delivery and COC/COI system. You will evaluate the existing application's code base continually to find opportunities to improve its design, quality, reliability and performance. The successful candidate will have deep experience in Salesforce development utilizing Salesforce technologies (Apex, LWC, Aura, SOQL) and web frameworks (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), as well as server and client-side technology (React, Node.js, RESTful Webservices).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on configuration and development in Salesforce Health Cloud and Experience Cloud using Flow, Lightning Component Framework, Apex, and Visualforce. Perform and/or oversee code reviews as needed.
- Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that leverage SFDC best practices.
- Maintain existing codebase and find opportunities for performance, reliability and feature improvements.
- Work on technical issues and troubleshoot and resolve bugs reported by users.
- Contribute to Architectural and Code Reviews to ensure entire team operates using coding standards and the Well-Architected Framework.
- Collaborate closely with Technical Architect to understand system design principles, architecture patterns and integration pathways.
- Stay abreast of Salesforce Development Best Practices, maintain progress on the Salesforce Certification path and keep your Trailhead profile updated.
- Maintain in-depth application knowledge of Iovance’ s Salesforce application. Be the internal expert on how the platform has been configured and built.
- Develop and maintain Salesforce coding and development standards and ensure adherence to these standards.
- Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or relevant degree
- At least 4+ years of experience developing on the Salesforce Platform and at least 8 years coding experience.
- Salesforce Certifications (Platform Developer I and II/ Advanced Administrator/) are a significant asset
- Extensive understanding of the Lightning Component Framework, Visualforce, and Apex development.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce Flow, Process Builder and other declarative tools.
- Significant experience with the Salesforce API, Web-Services, and Integration Patterns.
- Proven experience using Field Service Lightening and Scheduling components.
- Front-end development experience with Lightning Design System and Aura Components
- Demonstrated proficiency in integrating Salesforce with other platforms using Salesforce Connected App and APIs.
- Familiarity with Environment Management, Release Management, best practices, and deployment methodologies.
- Exposure to security patterns like SSL, OAUTH, SAML and encryption protocols.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- High level understanding of US and Global requirements around data residency and data privacy as it pertains to database design and software delivery.
- A strong background in Agile software development methodology.
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical regulated environment (GxP, FDA)
