Kitchens To Go designs, sells and leases commercial kitchen facilities throughout the USA and, to date, 28 international locations. KTG’s client list includes businesses and organizations from Education to Hospitality, Corrections to Healthcare, and Military to Senior Living such as Starbucks, Yum Brands, United Airlines, Apple and all branches of the Armed Forces. This is an exciting opportunity to manage construction & deconstruction of commercial kitchen solutions in relocatable structures such as Mobile, Modular and Containerized buildings in the field.

 

“A Day in the Life”

As an Engineering Manager you will oversee the design and engineering team to include all activities pertaining to the design, development and production of mobile, modular and containerized commercial kitchens, specialty vehicles, and related products that meet the specific or general needs and requirements of defined KTG projects.

“What You’ll Do”

  • Collaborate with sales team to forecast resource requirements to support the design, development, and production of projects within budget.
  • Oversee the project design and engineering team in designing and scheduling of all projects to ensure a consistent level of cost-effective performance and quality.
  • Oversee the development of material and equipment specifications to meet project requirements.  Specification to be developed in CSI MasterSpec format as required.
  • Oversee the code compliance and approval process by all governing agencies.  Work with internal project teams and agencies to secure approval for programs.        Monitor, maintain, and secure all agency approvals.
  • Define, schedule, and monitor required personnel and hardware resources required to manage the creation of design and construction documents in AutoCad and Revit.
  • Research new methods and materials to enhance KTG programs and interface with clients and project teams to develop new products and product lines.
  • Manage the expanded use of LEED and sustainable material, equipment and features of KTG products.
  • Take a collective role in the development and implementation of new systems that improve the quality, accuracy, and timing of engineering projects.
  • Assist operations team and sales teams to troubleshoot customer issues

 

“Must Haves”

  • Bachelor’s degree in the Engineering field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in the design, development and manufacturing of food service equipment
  • 2+ years of successfully leading a team of Project Designers
  • Familiarity with FCSI Revit Standards
  • Familiarity with CSI Specification Standards, particularly section 11 40 00
  • Knowledge of building codes for modular buildings and health department requirements for food service
  • Ability to manage several projects at one time and be flexible with changing priorities
  • Ability to work with project management software
  • Complete understanding of commercial food service design and operations
  • Experience in product development environment working from product definition through post-sale customer support 
  • Proficiency with mechanical assemblies and electrical assemblies
  • Strong AutoCAD experience and well versed in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Proven success in project management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • May need to travel to renovation center during project implementation
  • Professional Engineer Credentials preferred
