Description

KNIME is growing rapidly and we’re seeking smart, motivated, and creative people up for the challenge of helping us achieve ambitious scaling goals while continuing to empower the active community. We are currently looking for a Social Media Manager (m/f/d) in Austin, TX.

Who you are

You are strategic and creative, and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing social media
strategy. You engage target audiences and new audiences, all while reinforcing brand presence
and guidelines. You will spearhead your own social campaigns and initiatives in a growing team,
and support our lead in Brand Marketing & Awareness.

The ideal candidate has:

  • At least 3-5+ years of social media management experience; preferably with major brand
    accounts, or with a focus in technology.

  • Exceptional copywriting and storytelling; detail-oriented creativity allowing you to write
    compelling copy customized for multiple social platforms with minimal error. Inspire
    action, engagement, and excitement on social.

  • Proven social media marketing strategy success and management; comprehensive
    planning in alignment with company goals and global reach.

  • Strategic collaboration instinct; partnering effectively across the organization to guide
    internal/external stakeholders and deliver highest quality work.

  • Eye for design; provide visual creation or feedback/direction for creation, supported by
    lead designers.

  • Video production ability; you’re familiar with Adobe Suite or in-app creator tools, and
    understand what works with each platform and why.

  • Strong initiative; you take well-calculated risks, are able to bring new ideas, and identify
    opportunities and prioritize accordingly.

  • Empathetic understanding of community; you can communicate professionally and
    compassionately with our community, and help maintain positive brand image.

  • Data-inspired approach; you measure performance in an effective, actionable way, make
    it a habit to learn from outcomes, and pursue improvement for the team.

  • Record of building and executing top-tier influencer marketing programs.

  • Proficient in best practices across social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram,
    Facebook, TikTok, Twitter/X. (Optional: Mastodon, Reddit)

  • Familiarity with tools for tracking analytics, social listening, and channel management, like
    Brandwatch, Sprout Social, Sprinklr.

  • Increasing brand awareness and driving top-of-funnel growth: Develop and distribute
    content that resonates with our audiences, teaches new audiences, and builds
    engagement and trust. Analyze and optimize social content for conversion.

  • Partnering with cross-departmental stakeholders and external partners: Able to
    collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to develop successful content
    and social campaigns.

  • Identifying trends: Help position the company as a leader in the space and help the brand
    authentically tap into cultural shifts, while also maintaining brand integrity.

  • Maintain KNIME's social media content calendar and brand accounts, in collaboration with Brand Marketing & Awareness team members.
