The ERP Systems Consultant will be a key member of the Business Advisory service engagement team. This role is responsible for advising clients on system requirements, helping evaluate how certain ERP systems could support their needs, and then assisting to manage the ERP implementations. They will work with clients primarily in the manufacturing and distribution industries to deliver optimized business processes.

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluate and define client requirements for ERP systems and processes, create process flow diagrams, define scope and estimate project costs, timetables, and details
  • Plan and execute IT audits, client risk assessments, and evaluations of current processes
  • Identify, assess, and document controls and weaknesses in client ERP systems
  • Lead the selection and implementation of ERP systems
  • Organize, analyze, and communicate with both fellow consultants and client personnel in a professional, productive, and efficient manner
  • Lead client meetings and maintain strong client relationships
  • Assist with vendor contract negotiations
  • Manage multiple assignments as part of a dedicated team of ERP consultants
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data, software features, and relationships
  • Assist the firm in developing new tools and services related to emerging trends in ERP

Preferred Experience/Background/Skills:

  •  4+ years of ERP solutions and/or consulting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business related field
  • Experience implementing ERP systems and documenting processes
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions and ideas to non-technical audiences
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
  • Ability to work in a one or two-person team environment with minimum supervision
  • Approximately 50% domestic travel to client sites
  • Strong time management, self-motivation, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of a variety of ERP systems, including NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Epicor, Infor, or JD Edwards
  • Business process smart – not just technical skills, but able to look at business processes to identify areas of improvement and recommend implementation solutions
