Overview:

This is a Full-time position that could be hybrid or remote within our 5 state footprint - PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA.

 

Responsible for the preparation of income tax returns, tax returns for trusts, estates, private foundations and 1099s for assigned accounts, and gift and partnership returns or common trust funds. Work closely with administration, and if needed, attorneys and accountants, to ensure accounts are opened and closed properly and proper documentation has been received.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and filing of the applicable income tax returns for trusts, estates, private foundations and partnership returns, common trust funds, and 1099s. Review wills and trust documents to determine trust accounts have been properly set up for distributions and terminations. Review transaction coding to identify and correct miscoded transactions.
  • Advise trust administrators of tax situations in their accounts which could affect the beneficiary or owner of the account. Review return accuracy for proper reporting to the beneficiary or owner of the account and that the tax return is correct.
  • Prepare and file fiduciary estimated tax payments. Review account and transactional coding throughout the fiscal year. Respond to federal and state taxing authority tax notices.
  • Self-directed research to increase tax knowledge. Attend applicable tax related seminars.

 

Qualifications:
Education

Bachelor Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Accounting. (Required)

Experience

7 or more years Trust tax department or other comparable environment. (Required)

Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

 

The salary range for this position is $67,100.00 - $111,800.00 annually.
