Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description

Requirements:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Experience:

Proven experience in cloud security roles.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and containerization technologies.
Experience with security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Terraform).
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS benchmarks).
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integration of security into CI/CD pipelines.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Kubernetes security and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with cloud governance frameworks and controls.
Experience with auditing cloud environments and implementing continuous monitoring solutions.
