The opportunity

We are looking for an excellent Content Editor to be an integral part of our TechRepublic team. The core mission of this role is to ensure the highest-quality content is published on TechRepublic. Content Editors at TechnologyAdvice are diligent in their pursuit of accuracy, clarity and superlative user experience, while removing roadblocks for Managing Editors in particular and meeting deadlines so the content production process is efficient and effective.

You are a thorough, resourceful, proactive and creative editor with curiosity to learn about the latest trends in business technology and translate them for a busy audience. You can go from novice to expert level on a given topic with targeted research. You care deeply about the quality of experience for readers of your publication, and you will always do your part to ensure we are delivering the best answers to our audience's B2B questions.

What you'll do

  • Ensure each piece of published TechRepublic content you edit is the best answer for TechRepublic readers
  • Fully understand the reader's journey and confidently make suggestions on how we can improve our answers based on this understanding. This includes linking to other content, infographics, videos, call-out boxes and anything else that will help us deliver a better answer for our readers
  • Adhere to the style guides for TechnologyAdvice and, specifically, TechRepublic. Also, stay up to date on the latest AP Style Guide changes and communicate when our documentation needs to be updated to reflect those changes
  • Interact with in-house and freelance writers to optimize communication and ensure high standards across the board
  • Provide feedback to Managing Editors and assist in implementing content strategy
  • Collaborate with our Audience Development, SEO, Business Development, Video and Operations Teams to support their content creation needs and ensure consistency of messaging across the company
  • Provide regular feedback about how to improve our editing and production processes to help us consistently and cost-effectively produce a higher quality and quantity of content
  • Know our competitors and ensure our answers are better than theirs by a mile

 

Who you are

  • 2-3 years of content editing experience for a technical audience, ideally with a B2B focus
  • High attention to detail to ensure content is thoroughly fact-checked and accurate
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and visual
  • Self-starter - that is, somebody who has a positive attitude and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get work done
  • Must have a working laptop/pc and internet and back-up connection
  • Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward

Salary Range
We seek to hire top-tier individuals and intend for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision. Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.

Hourly pay range
₹281₹481 INR
