Managing Editor, Marketwire

DTN is looking for a Managing Editor for our Energy Marketwire team that has an extensive background in the refined fuels markets. This role is remote within the United States.

The Managing Editor will coordinate and contribute to insights created for customers of our refined fuels supply chain software products. Marketwire publishes price assessments for nearly 90 fuel types each trading day. It also publishes a daily overview of oil futures as well as brief recaps of industry news and world events that may affect fuel markets.

What you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing and contributing to daily content operations, the most important of which is the timely updating of DTN’s spot price ticker service for refined fuels, biofuels and ethanol
• Managing refined fuel markets reporters
• Writing, editing and posting daily oil futures updates and news briefs. These posts will regularly include analysis from DTN’s energy markets analyst
• Representing DTN at in-person and virtual events and helping position the company as a thought leader in the energy industry
• Building a source list that helps DTN provide pricing insights and overall industry intelligence
• Leveraging new channels to connect with current customers and prospects
• Working with key stakeholders to assess the value of current content offerings and future opportunities
• Sharing responsibility for gathering and posting of daily price assessments

What you will bring to the role:

• Five years of experience covering U.S. energy markets is required. Past experience with basis  assessments and futures markets is a must
• Strong writing, editing and presentation skills
• A solid base of contacts in refined fuels markets, particularly the Gulf Coast and New York Harbor
• Management experience is a plus
• Strong digital media skills, including publishing e-mail newsletters, webinars, video and audio

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $125,000 and $156,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
