Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Management (ITOM) Developer to join our IT team. The ITOM Developer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing ITOM solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role requires a deep understanding of IT operations, automation, and infrastructure management to ensure the effective delivery of IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Development & Customization:
    • Configure and customize ITOM modules on the ServiceNow platform, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration, and Cloud Management.
    • Develop and implement workflows, automation scripts, and integrations to enhance IT operations and service delivery.
    • Build and maintain custom dashboards and reports that provide visibility into the IT infrastructure and operations.
  • IT Operations Management:
    • Implement ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to provide real-time visibility into IT assets and their relationships.
    • Configure Event Management to monitor and respond to IT infrastructure events, reducing downtime and improving service availability.
    • Develop automation solutions using ServiceNow Orchestration to streamline routine IT tasks and processes.
  • Integration & Automation:
    • Integrate ITOM modules with other ITSM processes and third-party tools to create a unified IT operations environment.
    • Implement and manage integrations with cloud services, monitoring tools, and other infrastructure components.
    • Automate complex IT processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Monitoring & Optimization:
    • Develop and configure monitoring solutions that proactively identify and address IT infrastructure issues.
    • Optimize IT operations by analyzing data from various sources, identifying trends, and recommending improvements.
    • Ensure that ITOM solutions are aligned with ITIL best practices and support the organization's IT strategy.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation of ITOM configurations, customizations, and workflows.
    • Generate reports and dashboards that provide insights into IT operations, performance, and compliance.
    • Provide training and support to IT staff and stakeholders on using ITOM tools and processes.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with IT infrastructure, security, and application teams to gather requirements and deliver ITOM solutions that meet business needs.
    • Collaborate with ServiceNow administrators and developers to ensure seamless integration of ITOM with other ServiceNow modules.
    • Participate in the continuous improvement of IT operations processes, tools, and practices.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, ITIL, ServiceNow ITOM certification) are a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 6+ years of experience in IT Operations Management, with a focus on development and customization.
    • Strong experience with the ServiceNow ITOM suite, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration, and Cloud Management.
    • Proven experience in automating IT processes and integrating ITOM with other ITSM tools.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, and other scripting languages used in IT automation.
    • Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities, particularly in ITOM.
    • Experience with IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, databases, and cloud services.
    • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
