Accountant


Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank Reconciliation:

    • Reconcile bank accounts monthly to ensure accurate financial reporting.

    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Month-End and Year-End Close:

    • Manage the closing process for both month-end and year-end.

    • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Payroll Processing:

    • Process payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

    • Manage payroll-related queries and issues.

  • IRS Compliance:

    • Work with the IRS to resolve issues and notifications.

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

  • Tax Coordination:

    • Collaborate with our outsourced accounting firm on tax filings and related matters.

    • Assist in developing and implementing effective tax strategies.

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.

    • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

  • Audit Support:

    • Assist with internal and external audits as required.

    • Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained for audit purposes.

  • Policy Development:

    • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.

    • Ensure adherence to company policies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is a must.

  • Proficiency in Acumatica is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Experience in payroll processing and tax compliance.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
