Job Description Summary
Responsible for quality oversight of Engineering Software and customer product deliverables, developing and implementing standard work practices and procedures to meet regulatory requirements, mentoring others in the requirements of the software development lifecycle, and maintaining compliance with software license agreements. This role contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business and leads software quality engineering discussions and mentors’ engineers.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide subject matter expertise in the quality engineering, manages test plans and testing methodology for software projects.
- Contribute in driving initiatives such as refining coding standards and processes to ensure quality code is produced.
- Own large sized tasks or small projects and deliver quality engineering artifacts.
- Manage deliverables and mentor junior team members.
- Determine testing best practices and principals and promotes them across the organization.
- Understand and maintain compliance of software procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Provide quality oversight of new and existing software development projects in compliance with procedures and best practices.
- Provide audit support for customer and regulatory audit of software used in nuclear design and analysis.
- Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.
- Provide functional and technical expertise in bug fixes.
- Design and drive the process and automation improvements to Lean out the software development lifecycle artifacts while remaining compliant with procedures and regulatory commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in software quality and/or software development lifecycle.
Eligibility Requirements
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered.
Desired Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
- Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
- Detail oriented and skilled at providing quality feedback to software developers and project teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance for software development and\or controls is preferred.
- Assist with project management to optimize software project delivery.
- Familiarity with Agile software principles.

The base pay range for this position is 99k – 140k. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 9/30/24.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
