Job Summary
The Data Modeler will be responsible for developing logical and physical data models, in Traditional Data Stores (MSSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (Snowflake). The role will develop, test and implement scripts, programs, and related processes to collect, manage, publish metadata from data models. The data modeler will work closely with architects, developers and other data consumers to understand their needs and create appropriate data models.
Education & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology or a similar field, or equivalent work experience
- 3 Years of hands on data modeling
- Experience with metadata management and related tools
- Experience with relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data modeling
- Experience with data management standards and data model practices
- Experience with physical data structures in MSSQL, Oracle and Snowflake using Erwin
- Experience with SDLC and DevOps
Preferred
- Knowledge of Healthcare Industry and Healthcare Data files
- Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with team management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
- Evaluating existing data systems.
- Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
- Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
- Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
- Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
- Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
- Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.

*Annual base salary for Colorado, Washington D.C. and Washington State residents: $103,000 - $114,000 depending on experience*
