Summary Of Role & Key Responsibilities

The ESG Advisory & Mandatory Reporting Business Line empowers clients' transition to models of sustainable performance by integrating ESG priorities into business strategy and investment decisions, and rigorously reporting against progress. Specifically, we help companies define and implement an ESG program , manage and govern ESG data , and report & disclose ESG performance. We are expanding our team to meet the growing ESG reporting and disclosure needs of our Fortune 500 and other clients. Specifically, we are seeking an Associate Director, who will serve as a senior point of contact for clients, provide oversight of and directly contribute to the development and execution of projects, and contribute to growing our business and expanding the suite of offerings in our Reporting & Disclosure Service Line. Ideal candidates will have direct experience in the field of ESG/sustainability as well as experience managing project teams, writing content, and developing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and/or contributing to multiple project teams who advise and develop ESG reporting and disclosure products and services for our clients, ensuring we have a range of service offerings to meet clients at different maturity levels
  • Providing clients with strategic advice and expertise, creative ideas, and practical solutions to advance their ESG reporting and disclosure efforts
  • Writing and editing reports, disclosures, and other communications materials
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they stay on time and on budget
  • Supporting business development opportunities with current and potential clients
  • Thinking creatively and collaborating with colleagues to continually build our ESG reporting expertise and increase our impact
  • Staying current on trends and developments related to ESG reporting, communications, and disclosure

Key Requirements & Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience as a corporate sustainability/ESG leader or practitioner, in- house or agency communications professional focused on sustainability/ESG, or consultant with a track record in corporate sustainability/ESG reporting and disclosure
  • A deep knowledge and understanding of sustainability/ESG issues and related reporting trends, drivers, standards and frameworks

  • Strategic thinker with deep analytical skills and ability to creatively problem-solve
  • Superb project management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Self-directed and highly motivated with an ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with virtual teams.
