The Sales Specialist Digital Pathology effectively develops the growth of the regional Digital Pathology business in Spain and Portugal, ensures the implementation of the DP strategy, owns and leads the regional activity to win business from new accounts and existing Leica customers.

The ideal candidate has a background in Health Care IT. Any previous Sales experience is a plus, but we are ready to train a person and invest to develop his/her sales professionalism. This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading companies in the Digital Pathology industry!

Major Responsibilities

  • Execute the regional Digital Pathology business strategy – with specific focus on market share capture
  • Build and deliver Digital Pathology projects that match Customer needs & expectations
  • Together with Account Manager team manage at the regional level the Digital Pathology sales opportunities in large and medium size competitive accounts across the full funnel process from lead to implementation
  • Partner continuously with the Account Managers, Regional Sales & and EMEA Digital Pathology & Workflow Team to ensure consistent above-market growth
  • Liaise with Distribution and Customer IT departments to effectively design and implement the Digital Pathology solution
  • Research and develop new opportunities to increase Leica Biosystems market share
  • Support the tender response team on technical application process
  • Able to communicate Vision 24 impact to customers and represent winning characteristics of Leica vs competitors
  • Support value selling and smart pricing models
  • Applies DBS tools in all areas to maximize results and optimizations

Requirements:

  • University’s degree in IT or Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience in the Health Care IT environment: knowledge of technologies (including understanding of LIS, HIS, PACS, and other hospital and laboratory IT Systems), products, processes and selling/purchasing with the hospital environment, competitor and market awareness. In Imaging and Digital Pathology would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a biomedical and sales-oriented environment with an understanding of the requirements and importance to follow procedures and process in a highly regulated sector by FDA and other government bodies is a plus (this includes budgets, forecasting, providing quotations, responding to tenders; negotiation, influencing and collaboration skills)
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English, in written and spoken
  • Willing to travel within defined territory up to 60% of the time
