Your new role

At Digital Science, we are dedicated to driving innovation in scientific research. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Channel Sales Technical Specialist to join our dynamic sales team. The Channel Sales Technical Specialist will be instrumental in developing and executing our sales strategy through channel partnerships within corporate, government, and academic segments. The successful candidate will identify, develop, and expand relationships with strategic partners to promote and sell Digital Science's suite of products and solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Technical & Project Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to the Channel Sales Managers. Ensure the team is fully equipped with the necessary technical knowledge to engage with partners effectively.
  • Strategy Development: Assist in developing technical sales strategies that align with the company's goals. Collaborate with senior sales leadership to integrate technical solutions into overall channel strategies.
  • Solution Design: Work closely with partners and Channel Sales Managers to design and refine product offerings and solutions that meet the specific needs of different market segments.
  • Training and Development: Develop and lead training programs for Channel Sales Managers and partners to enhance their product knowledge and technical sales skills.
  • Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical resource for channel partners, assisting in complex sales cycles and negotiations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with the R&D, Product Development, and Marketing teams to ensure that sales strategies are informed by the latest technical advancements and market trends.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the technical performance of channel sales activities. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical personnel within partner organizations.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor's degree in a science or technical field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Experience in Data Science and Data Analyst type roles with clients in government, academic, and/or corporate/pharma markets.
  • Experience in Sales and Project Management is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical sales or client relationship support type roles.
  • Proven experience in the technology sector, ideally within scientific research or related industries.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to relay complex technical information in an accessible manner.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving growth through innovative technical sales strategies.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with partners and internal teams.
