Senior Solar Constuction Project Manager

Join a leading player in Sweden's renewable energy sector, dedicated to promoting sustainable energy solutions and supporting the growth of green industries. Our client specializes in developing cutting-edge solar energy projects and significantly contributes to the landscape of renewable energy and economic welfare.

As a Senior Construction Project Manager

You will lead large-scale solar park projects, overseeing all phases from initiation to completion. Your role involves extensive project management to ensure smooth execution within defined scopes, timelines, and financial constraints. By closely collaborating with various stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, authorities, and suppliers, you will drive project success and maintain industry leadership.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Strategic Project Planning: Design comprehensive project strategies that encompass scope definition, deliverables, and timelines. Conduct thorough feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk evaluations to ensure project feasibility and prevent potential challenges. Acquire necessary resources and permits for project execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster robust relationships with various stakeholders, including government agencies, landowners, contractors, and local communities. Collaborate closely to address concerns, secure necessary approvals, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and motivate a diverse project team consisting of engineers, procurement specialists, and construction personnel. Delegate responsibilities, clarify expectations, and provide guidance to optimize project efficiency and achieve milestones.
  • Project Implementation: Oversee all aspects of project implementation, including equipment procurement, construction activities, and adherence to quality and safety protocols. Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement measures to ensure timely project completion.
  • Financial Management: Contribute to project budgeting and monitor financial expenditures throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular financial analyses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to enhance project profitability.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present detailed project reports, progress updates, and reviews to key stakeholders and senior management. Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish stringent quality metrics for project deliverables. Implement rigorous quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Maintain strict health, safety, and environmental protocols across all project operations. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, minimize risks, and reduce environmental impact throughout various project phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related fields.
  • Experience working on projects over 100 MW. Experience with similar projects is essential.
  • A master's degree is advantageous.
  • Proven project management experience, preferably in large-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
  • Deep knowledge of solar energy systems, technologies, and project development processes.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project planning ability, budget management, and resource allocation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on risk assessment and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge or background in electrical installations is beneficial.
