Your missions

What You'll Do

The Tax Compliance Manager is a customer-facing representative responsible for managing a team and overseeing daily compliance activities. This role ensures all tasks are performed, according to policies and procedures. You will develop a positive, customer-centric culture, leading by example, and encouraging team success.

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • Manage SUT filing and preparation tasks for a team of 10 or more and oversee tax processing tasks (50% of time).
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by higher management and ensure team achieves and accurate completion of deliverables.
  • Lead projects to foster high employee satisfaction, retention, and engagement; coach, train, and conduct regular 1:1s with team members.
  • Handle executive and client escalations; propose root cause analysis and preventive actions (RCAPA) and ensure a positive client experience.
  • Address and resolve client issues and promptly to exceed client satisfaction.
  • Coach staff on tax return preparation, department processes, and job responsibilities.
  • Ensure the team addresses jurisdictional notices and resolve data file issues promptly
  • Implement best practices for accuracy, efficiency in the functional area.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor performance metrics and ensure successful preparation and completion of department audits.
  • Conduct work planning and prioritisation for the team and provide support to the Sales/Marketing department.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Develop relationships within and across departments and with client companies to promote teamwork, positive culture, and increased business opportunities.


Qualifications

About the Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of taxing software and tools; including advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Conflict resolution skills, an optimistic, customer-centric attitude, and a team player mindset.
  • Telecom industry experience is an added advantage.
