Job Description:

The IT Change Management Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring that Vertex maintains compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to information technology and data security.

Reporting to the IT Compliance Manager, the IT Compliance Analyst will be responsible for conducting assessments, audits, and reviews of IT systems, IT Controls, and processes to identify compliance gaps and recommend remediation actions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to information technology, data privacy, and security (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX) and ensure that Vertex adheres to applicable requirements.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of IT compliance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk assessments and evaluations of IT systems, processes, and controls to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Compliance Audits and Reviews: Plan, coordinate, and conduct compliance audits and reviews of IT systems, processes, and controls to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Prepare reports documenting findings and recommendations for remediation.
  • Incident Response and Investigations: Assist in the investigation and resolution of compliance incidents, breaches, and violations. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Training and Awareness: Assist in development and delivery of IT compliance training and awareness programs to educate employees on compliance requirements, policies, and best practices. Foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to IT compliance activities, assessments, and audit findings. Prepare regular reports and metrics to communicate compliance status and performance to management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 0-2 years of experience in IT compliance, information security, or related roles.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to IT compliance, data privacy, and information security.
  • Experience conducting compliance assessments, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality..
  • Knowledge of Kanban, Scrum, and SAFe Agile framework and ways of working.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office products, Confluence, ServiceNow and other tools used to support analysis, create deliverables, and track status.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CRISC) preferred.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in IT compliance, information security, audit or related roles.
