About J&J Editorial

J&J Editorial is a growing organization that supports the editorial management of a variety of scholarly publications, primarily academic journals. J&Js employees are experts in helping editorial offices set priorities and create the workflow necessary for submission growth and timely publication.

About the Role:

We are currently looking to fill a full-time position as a Project Manager. You will be working directly with clients to help them interface with the systems we offer. This will involve managing questions and issues with their sites and maintaining a positive relationship with them.

How you will make an impact:

  • Work closely with new and existing customers to facilitate software configuration changes and troubleshoot user issues and software defects
  • Manage the complete process of setting up new sites for customers
  • Train customers on new sites and features
  • Act as a liaison between customers and the software development team to gather requirements, prepare product specifications, and perform software quality assurance testing
  • Create and maintain software documentation

What we look for:

  • Prior experience providing technical customer support and troubleshooting
  • Ability to independently manage multiple, concurrent tasks and projects
  • Interest in project management
  • Strong problem solving and solution research skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers from non-technical backgrounds
  • An empathic and friendly attitude, willingness to advocate for customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and/or SQL preferred
  • Technical background preferred
  • Familiarity with scholarly publishing is a plus
