SPT Labtech are looking for an experienced remote based Field Service Engineer on the West side of Germany.
Do you have experience working with liquid handling or sample management systems in the Life Sciences industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to coordinate and manage emergency/preventive maintenance service calls as a Field Service Engineer based close to a German airport on the west side of Germany Frankfurt, Cologne, Dusseldorf or Dortmund.

About the role:
As a self-motivated team player, you'll be responsible for scheduling and performing territory service work, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction. You'll have the chance to travel across mainland Europe, primarily serving Germany, with occasional longer distance travel. Candidates should anticipate 8-12 days per month of overnight travel on average.
In this role, you'll be expected to provide on-site support for a range of exciting products, making it the perfect opportunity for those seeking a varied, challenging, and stimulating work experience. If you have previous experience with electro-mechanical and automated systems, ideally within the life sciences or pharmaceutical sectors, we want to hear from you!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and performing territory service work such as on-site installation and preventative maintenance.
- Responsible for account management, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Performing reactive territory repair visits.
- Being available to travel at short notice in order to support other Field Service Engineers when needed.
- Timely completion of all required documentation.
- Communicating any product quality issues to the appropriate persons;
- Working closely with the Sales team and the Field Applications Specialists

About you:
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritise workload;
- You'll be a self motivated team player.
- Previous experience working with sample management or liquid handling equipment is advantageous
- Ability to travel on short notice which at times could involve at least 50% overnight travel;
- Previous experience with electro-mechanical and automated systems, ideally within the life sciences or pharmaceutical sectors;
- Strong customer focus;
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to workload;
- Education equivalent of at least one of the following: Engineering Apprenticeship and HNC, or HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
- Valid Passport
