Job Description

As a Product Manager at Huawei, your responsibilities extend beyond traditional portfolio management to encompass strategic market leadership and innovation. You will:

  • Strategic Market Oversight: Develop and execute comprehensive market strategies for photovoltaics and energy storage systems, leveraging deep industry insights and trend analysis to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities and technologies.
  • Product Innovation and Roadmap Management: Lead the planning and execution of new product development, including creating and refining roadmaps, managing joint innovation projects, and ensuring alignment with both market needs and Huawei's strategic objectives.
  • Industry Representation and Ecosystem Building: Act as Huawei's representative in key standardization groups and industry forums, driving the development of regional eco-systems to bolster Huawei's leadership and influence in the energy sector.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Coordinate with internal teams, including R&D, marketing, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of new products into the market and effective execution of go-to-market strategies.
  • Strategic Feedback and Direction: Provide high-level strategic input to headquarters, leveraging market and technology insights to shape the company's future business directions and product offerings.

The Successful Applicant

  • Market Insight: Demonstrated ability to analyze industry and technology trends, identify opportunities, and understand new business models. Provide strategic feedback to headquarters and steer new business directions. Proficient in market insight methodologies.
  • Marketing Competency: Experience interacting with customer experts, supporting high-level marketing activities, and providing technical support to sales teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of power electronics, automation, and energy storage. Prior experience in the energy industry, particularly in photovoltaics and energy storage, with R&D or testing experience. Familiarity with relevant products and solutions is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the energy industry's development trends, policies, market directions, industry/standard organizations, and equipment suppliers across various countries.

Additional Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related field.
  • Travel: Willingness to undertake frequent domestic and international business trips.
  • Location: The Hague, Netherlands.
  • Language Skills: English, proficiency in Chinese (spoken, read, and written) is a significant advantage.
  • Work Arrangement: This position does not allow for home office arrangements.
  • Technical Familiarity: Knowledge of inverters, optimizers, microinverters, or energy storage systems.
