Description

About this role:

We are seeking an experienced individual to lead our publisher relations and rights team as we pursue ambitious content growth goals in support of our global audience of church leaders, Bible scholars, students, and Christian laypeople. 


Logos partners with the world’s leading Christian, academic, and trade book publishers as well as with creators of video, audio, and course media resources to expand the world’s best Christian content ecosystem on logos.com. This is a critical, highly visible role that will lead the team during a period of rapid growth for the world’s largest Bible study software platform. Ideal candidates will have several years of experience in publishing, rights and royalty management, contract negotiation, and team leadership.


Responsibilities:

  • Content Evaluation: Assess and evaluate potential content for acquisition, ensuring alignment with company values, theological integrity, and market demand
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate licensing agreements and contracts with content creators, publishers, and rights holders to secure rights for use in the software
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current publishers, rights holders, and other key stakeholders to facilitate ongoing content acquisition and collaboration
  • Contract Management: In collaboration with the contract management team, ensure proper language and proper filing and storage of contracts 
  • Royalties Management: Oversee the royalties team to ensure accurate and timely royalty payments to content creators and rights holders, maintaining clear and transparent financial records
  • Content Strategy Development: Work with the content strategy team to develop and refine content acquisition strategies, aligning them with the company’s overall goals and ensuring a diverse and high-quality content portfolio

Requirements:

  • Experience leading remote teams and developing a strong team culture of transparency, communication, and growth
  • Proven track record of deal-making in an account management, licensing or business development role
  • Ability to negotiate complex agreements with a firm understanding of legal terminology and reasoning
  • Proficiency with Excel, data analysis, and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational experience 
  • Direct experience within the religion and theology publishing and media industry is preferred

The U.S. base salary for this full-time position ranges from $110k - 120k per year. Logos salary ranges are determined by role, position level, and location. The range displayed on each remote job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.


Note: Currently, we are able to hire in every state in the United States except for the District Of Columbia.
