The Engineering Organization is focused on producing software that solves the most important problems facing digital forensics and incident response professionals today. The Magnet Review Team is looking for a talented platform engineer to join our growing team, responsible for building the next generation of digital forensics products enhancing collaboration between various stakeholders in the agency org.
You will be part of the team responsible for delivering our Customer-Hosted REVIEW solution, driving best practices and improvements related to hardware, storage and Kubernetes configurations.

Role ExpectationsParticipate in support calls with customer and professional services team for timely resolution of issues Troubleshoot customer environment problems in different deployment model Adapt to changes as they arise from business & customer needs Establish best practices for our varying deployment models including hardware and storage recommendations Communication across the product and throughout the organization to share knowledge and build consensus. Provide informal and formal mentorship within and outside the team. Identify and advocate for improvements across process, tools and architecture Skills Required Expertise in designing and measuring the performance of on-prem storage systems (JBOD, Dell PowerVault, Dell Unity, VMWare SAN, etc.) Proficiency with networking design, protocols (ie: S3, iSCSI)3+ years of experience with Python and/or Go3+ years or experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters Experience working with Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure)Proficiency in Linux shell scripting (create, debug, maintain, etc.) ProficiencyusingGit based version control systemsDesired Skills Experience working in high security environmentsExperience generating effective and efficient project documentation The Most Important Thing We’re looking for candidates that can provide examples of how they demonstrated Magnet CODE in their previous experiences.

If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).
Compensation Range:
MIN: $107,200 - MID: $134,000 - MAX: $160,800 Currency: CAD
