Reporting to the Manager, Deal Desk (or Team Lead, Deal Desk), as the Deal Desk Specialist you will support a high-paced, high-performing sales team. You will support the Quote-to-Order cycle, with a focus on customer and business outcomes, while ensuring adherence with established policies.
Establishing strong cross-functional relationships and collaboration with the Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal and Order Management teams is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
Serves as trusted advisor to the Sales team on quoting, contracting options and approval processes
Coordinate with cross-functional teams who support the commercial sales cycle (Legal, Credit Control, Revenue Recognition, Order Management) to drive deals to closure
Monitors the Deal Desk queues/chatter in Salesforce to provide general assistance and advice on common deal questions and Quote-to-Order process questions; consistently maintains departmental SLAs
Partners with Sales to accelerate quote cycle through operational efficiencies and on-going education
Ensure accuracy of all quote fields in CPQ to minimize downstream discrepancies and re-work; collaborate with impacted parties (as necessary) to resolve common Quote to Cash errors
Subject matter expert on Sales Approval, Bookings, and Order Acceptance policies; ensure accuracy of Bookings metrics and resolve discrepancies as may be required
Requirements:
Familiarity with Enterprise Software/SaaS B2B Industry – Order Management, Finance Operations, Deal Desk or Sales Operations experience preferred
Experience with Salesforce CPQ or similar CPQ tool highly preferred
Strong quantitative skills and highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated ability to partner with GTM teams and other cross-functional departments
Highly organized, customer-focused and strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and prioritize at times of high volume, schedule flexibility during End of Month and End of Quarter
Excellent communication skills and open to feedback
Basic understanding of revenue recognition rules, sales contracts, SOX; ability to recognize risk in deal terms and/or structure
Basic understanding of software licensing and SaaS provisioning process

The salary range for this role in New York is between $70,000 - $80,000.
In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as bonus and stock grants. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits (subject to eligibility), including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
