Position Title: Grants Management Specialist
Client: Federal Agency   
Location: Washington, D.C./Remote
Employment Period:  10/01/2024 to 09/30/2025
Work Day:   Monday - Friday
Employment Status:  Must be a US Citizen and ability to pass a background check

Job Responsibility:

The Contractor shall assist the customer in all aspects of federal funds financial management and regulatory program support for recipients of grant dollars and State appraiser licensing and certification programs that fall under the customer’s jurisdiction.
  • Supports the complete life cycle of grants, from pre-award preparation through implementation and closeout.
  • Serves an integral role in ensuring that all objectives and deliverables throughout the grant’s life cycle are successfully achieved.
  • Work as part of a team or as an individual contributor.
  • Prepares memos for grants and program officers to document acceptance/approval of final reports and any other required deliverables.
  • Reviews grants and agreement applications for compliance, clarity, and completeness.
  • Monitors grantees' continuing operations to ensure compliance with the provisions of awards.
  • Provides cost analysis of approved grant applications.
  • Track grant payments and fund balances to develop status and statistical information.
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to review project budgets.
  • Prepares award documents and assists in administering awarded grants including receipt and approval of change requests.
  • Assists in the training and technical assistance of grantees.
  • Conducts resolution of audit findings and administrative closeout of expired grants.
  • Assists in negotiating, preparing, and administering grants, cooperative agreements, or other related instruments.
Requirements:
  • Have a B.A. or B.S. in a related field such as, but not limited to, business administration
  • Must have 2+ years of experience with Grant Administration
  • Must have critical thinking, evaluation, and analytical skills 
  • Should have the ability to meet deadlines, stay organized, and pay attention to detail. 
  • Must have excellent office skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading,  
  • Strong computer skills, including keyboard proficiency, accurate data entry, learning new software/databases, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and Internet Searches)
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others and ask for assistance when needed. 
  • Basic math skills required.
