Description

Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) works with HCPs to educate on disease state, motivational interviewing, patient adherence and product education to support patients. In addition, the CNEs will prioritize educational support to patients who have opted in for the TerSera Nursing support program. This support is provided to help patients have a better understanding of their disease state, the therapies used to treat their disease, and the importance of adherence to medications they have been prescribed. The CNE team also provided educational support programs for patient advocacy organizations.   This remote position will be based in New York City.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This section contains a list of the major responsibilities of this role that account for 50% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.

  •  Leads CNE team and oversees all activities and tactics planned and executed by the CNE team
  •  Upon confirmation of opt-in/opt out, CNEs will engage patients in the program with introductory call and supplemental calls (telephone or virtually) to ensure patients have support/understanding of their therapy including, but not limited to: disease state, on label education and TerSera support services
  •  Engage HCPs to understand unmet needs and current challenges patients and providers experience with their disease state
  •  Conduct nurse in-service programs when needs are identified via TerSera employees and/or requests for such from health care professionals

  •  Strong clinical expertise and ability to articulate and communicate complex medical information
  •  Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) skills with demonstrated ability to work well in teams internally and externally to TerSera
  •  Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task on multiple projects at the same time
  •  Ability to provide geographic coverage of targeted support groups/meetings/events
  •  Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams

Education and/or Experience:

Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.

  •  Bachelor of Nursing Degree or Advanced Nursing Degree
  •  Active Nursing License
  •  Minimum of 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  •  Minimum of 3 years oncology clinical experience required
  •  Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of therapeutic areas of interest to TerSera Therapeutics
