As of today, Alma works with 16300+ merchants across 10 different European countries, and the acquisition of new SMB accounts in the international markets is one of our pivotal focuses. As an Account Executive SMB for the Belgium market, you will not only support all merchants who express their wish to install Alma’s solutions and discover their own challenges but also play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and contribute directly to Alma’s sales success.

About the mission

Please note that the job location is in Paris, France.

As an Account Executive SMB working for the Belgium market, your main responsibilities include:

  • Managing the entire sales cycle (for both Outbound & Inbound) of new SMB accounts (turnovers of less than €10M) from prospecting, leads qualification to negotiation and contract signature, and primarily engaging with C-Level Executives
  • Representing Alma at trade shows and conferences in BENELUX and Europe
  • Contributing to the optimisation of internal processes to support Alma's scalability
  • Optimising Alma take rate of activated merchants
  • Organising and tracking sales activities via CRM

About you 

You will be a good fit for the role if you have:

  • Experience: you have between 1 and 4 years of relevant experiences in similar functions (internships & apprenticeships excluded) and selling B2B software solutions
  • Language: fluency in French and full professional proficiency in English are mandatory. Fluency in Flemish will be a huge plus!
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commercial skills: you are at ease in managing the entire sales cycle, in negotiation & closing discussions
  • Strong organisational and structured approach to understand the complexities of retailers’ needs and a high level of accountability and methodical progression to ensure follow-ups with prospects until closure

  • You have experience(s) in the Payment / BNPL / E-commerce industry 
  • You are proficient in using tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, or Modjo for efficient lead management and outreach
