Description

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for researching, prospecting, identifying qualified prospective clients and channel partners, and meeting specific revenue and activity metrics at ArmorPoint.  The position will conduct initial, high-level conversations with prospective clients and channel partners about their business, cybersecurity goals, as well as articulate the ArmorPoint value proposition.  The Sales Development Representative will generate opportunities by following proven processes to prospect into new business and channel partner accounts. The position will be primarily responsible for generating new direct opportunities as well as new partner recruitment opportunities. The position will learn how to identify and research lists of companies to target, and how to leverage email and telephone campaigns to generate new business opportunities.

  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Attend company events, seminars, and client meetings as needed
  • Perform new client development in various means, including social media, email, and telephone-based initiatives
  • Identify clients and prospects opportunities and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients and prospects
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and internal ArmorPoint resources
  • Report to the Interim Chief Revenue Officer on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Research prospective accounts in targeted markets and industries
  • Understand target markets, making use of industry, company, contacts, and targeted market strategies to attract new clients
  • Address potential prospect concerns and identify/present solutions that fit client needs
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with existing and new clients
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of our products and services, our competition, and our strengths over our competition
  • Understand the client’s business, the business objectives, and the client’s needs
  • Follow the latest industry trends and developments and stay up to date on vendor solutions as well as industry competition
  • Perform new client development in various means, including social media, email and telephone-based initiatives
  • Maintain a clean and organization CRM
  • Document and maintain detailed notes on new prospects, meetings and qualification specifications
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of Sales/Marketing or B2B sales, required.
  • 1-2 years of IT Industry experience, preferred.
  • Potential for up to 20% travel.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and manage multiple clients within deadlines.
  • Superb proofreading skills.
  • Ability to reach out to prospects through cold calling, video conferencing, or other means.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Provides strong customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Independent, self-starting, team player with a positive attitude.
