ABOUT THE ROLE

Algorand Foundation is looking for a dynamic, driven, and seasoned Finance Manager to join its Finance team. The ideal candidate will integrate into a diverse and high-performing team of finance professionals. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and review monthly closing processes, reconciliations and substantiation of financial records
• Use the finance operating model to reduce the time to finalize the monthly closing process
• Lead the preparation of the statutory and management reporting which includes a multi-jurisdictional group consolidation
• Lead the statutory audit process which includes liaising with the auditors and preparation of audit evidence
• Be familiar with drafting financial statement disclosure notes including those on a consolidated basis
• Complete accounting and reporting for investments and lead the annual valuation process
• Prepare and submit EU (Ireland and Portugal) VAT returns, tax accounting and associated reporting
• Contribute actively towards implementing and documenting appropriate internal controls
• Monitor and lead on the workstreams included in the compliance calendar

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Member of ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA with 6+ years of post-qualification experience
• Fintech, crypto & blockchain industry experience is highly desirable
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Excel, competent user of Microsoft Office tools
• Strong understanding of IFRS, experienced in research and application of accounting standards to various balances and transactions
• Hands-on proactive professional with the ability to communicate effectively across the organization and external stakeholders
• Experience with VAT/tax accounting and reporting in the EU and US is required
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter attitude and commitment to high-quality standards
