Job Summary

We are looking for an inside sales professional to play a significant role in driving the growth of an innovative company with a proven product. The Business Development Consultant will work directly with the Manager, Business Development and key external group partners to manage, retain, and grow these partnerships. This position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a focus on responsive customer service and sales expertise. The position would offer a base salary plus bonus, as well as an aggressive commission structure within a growing company.

Primary Responsibilities

• Learn, understand and demonstrate knowledge of current programs and services
• Support designated partners for sales, upsell and field support, reporting, and day/day client and broker needs
• Develop creative selling strategies and execute on assigned lead development initiatives
• Successfully manage assigned direct sales opportunities including RFP development, finalist meetings/presentations, and contract requests/tracking/negotiation
• Utilize strategy and approved techniques to obtain competitive information to understand the marketplace that we are supporting
• Achieve sales goals through strong, strategic partnership relationships
• Work closely with sales support specialist to track and analyze CRM data and sales partner performance year over year
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 1 plus year's relevant work experience
• Proven sales track record having consistently surpassed quotas in a fast-paced, quota driven environment
• Analytical, organizational and planning skills for forecasting, pipeline tracking and reporting
• Demonstrated ability to manage a complex sales process of sales strategy development, relationship building, contract negotiation and deal closings
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Outstanding relationship management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Stable work history required
