Summary

As a Customer Support Specialist at the GS-0301-7, you will be part of HRS Leadership Development, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will plan, organize, implement and evaluate logistics in support of CLD operations; make ongoing analyses to identify and resolve problems in workflow and administration that may affect participants and CLD operations; and ensure essential administrative work of the CLD conforms to appropriate policies and procedures.

Duties

Typical duties include: Serves as authoritative consultant and troubleshooter; plans, develops, and evaluates experimental programs. Design, develop and conduct training needs assessments to determine requirements for existing or new instructional Systems. Provides support for training and education contract vendor evaluation panels. May serve as technical evaluation panel chair as required. May be required to perform as a contracting officer of record (COR) or assistant (ACOR) in support of training and education contract(s). Reviews contractor deliverables, performs QASP functions including evaluation of training plans, storyboards and interim products used in the development of training products, training objectives, training development project plans, instructional media development plans, serious game development and strategies, informal media development and reviews final SCORM and other deliverables. Qualifications

For the GS 7: You must have one year (52 weeks) of experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the Federal Government GS-05 grade level or pay band that demonstrates experience in with ALL of the following:1) Coordinating services and facilities for training courses for participants and instructors; 2) Providing recommendations to improve internal purchasing or course evaluation processes and; 3) Monitoring customer trends, client data, and specific seminar interest or request. -OR- 1 full year of graduate level education. 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study. Note: You must submit a copy of your graduate transcripts with your application. -OR- Superior academic achievement -OR- A combination of specialized experience and education to qualify for the GS-07 level. To calculate your percentage of education, divide the number of graduate semester hours earned by 18. If your education is in quarter hours, convert to semester hours by multiplying the number of quarter hours earned by 2/3rds. To calculate your percentage of experience, divide the number of months of full-time experience by 12. If your experience was part-time, convert to full-time by dividing the number of hours worked per week by 40 then multiply by number of months worked. Add the percentages. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. Note: You must submit a copy of your graduate transcripts with your application. Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-5 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS7 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
