A Day in the Life

As a Sr Business Process Improvement Analyst for EMEA Offer Development, you will be a member of the EMEA Offer Development Management Business Process team within the Global Regions Pricing and Contracting Team. In this team we are focused on customers, employees, patients, and our commitment to the Medtronic mission to alleviate pain, restore health and extend life.

Your main responsibility as a Sr Business Process Improvement Analyst is to aid in integration of our Offer Development Strategy into an end-to-end process with supporting teams and system(s) to ensure interoperability & scalability to maximize value creation. You will collaborate with functional EMEA country leaders and their teams as well as operating units to drive transformation and harmonization of the processes, governance of existing processes, develop playbooks to train teams on new processes, and evolve processes as systems technology evolves to support our journey.

In your daily role, you will be the primary point of contact about the Offer Development and Bid & Proposal Management processes in EMEA. That means you will be responsible for documenting the transformation and later govern and maintain the business processes in a transparent way that will act as a standard for the operating units and Pricing & Contracting. Therefore, you will collaborate with colleagues from countries but also commercial excellence work streams to understand their needs. You will design efficient processes to support business needs and create transparency about existing processes and changes. Furthermore, you will serves as liaison between project management, planning, project team and line management.

You will participate or lead several projects aimed at commercial and operational excellence which are designed to evaluate and ensure the business policies, principles, and standards needs are met. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Support the EMEA Offer & Contract Development Transformational Journey. Based on your offer development knowledge, you will be driving change within the organization, setting up or participating in workshops to harmonize, standardize and modernize our Offer & Contract Development Processes in EMEA.
  • You will aid in the definition of EMEA specific processes that enable our offer & contract development capabilities such as the implementation of the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) System and ensure this is integrated with other processes and Medtronic systems: Salesforce.com Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Vendavo Pricing Management systems and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system like Contract Repository.
  • Drive change management of the new CPQ processes for Sales teams and Offer & Contract Development teams by coordinating communications and trainings with specific countries and operating units to enable learning new processes, systems and roles and responsibilities
  • Refine and integrate processes for strategic contracting capabilities such as: rebates management, deal analysis and systematic contract composition.
  • Proactively govern and maintain the Offer & Contract Development Capability in daily business and support improvement projects from initiation until delivery:
  • Partner with the Pricing & Contracting (tendering?) group to understand new initiatives and translate those into harmonized process flows and system capabilities requirements;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive change management, process standardization, and ensure they understand the changes that are needed (what, how and when);
  • Support cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for key business processes. e.g., IT; SAP team and master data;
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and sharing best practices across the community.


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven record of accomplishment with leading change within an organization;
  • Eagerness to understand the situation of a collaboration partner and to learn about the processes in detail;
  • Strong project management and time management skills;
  • Ability to develop enterprise end-to-end processes flows leveraging your contacts;
  • Expertise in problem solving techniques to efficiently drive process improvements;
  • Experience working within a in a project-oriented team;
  • Able to communicate effectively to our stakeholders in Business, Pricing, Finance, and IT and able to extract key information needed for KPI driven analytics;
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office (Access, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge & experience with Agile/SCRUM Methodology
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with business user, technical staff, and executive management
