Job role

We are currently seeking Junior Accountant to become part of our team at our Bucharest office. The accounting specialist will strengthen the Accounting Team of Syncier GmbH and will ensure and set up efficient and compliant workflows to guarantee high quality for the transactions an processes within Accounting. Will perform analysis and reporting for internal and external audiences (Accounting management, Group Accounting, statutory auditors etc.). 

 

What you will do

•    Responsible for the booking of the subledger entries, both in accounts payables (invoices, credit cards) and accounts receivables (bank postings and reconciliations) for the Syncier GmbH entities.
•    Participation and involvement in cross-divisional projects and takeover of the optimization of the invoicing and dunning process.
•    Responsible for providing analyses and additional information in connection with invoicing and receivables control.
•    Interaction with suppliers as well as with internal and external customers for solving different situations.
•    Participation at the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements of Syncier GmbH and the Syncier Consulting companies, including the support to external audit.
•    Participation at the preparation of the annual report. 
•    Be one of the contact persons for the tax advisors and contribute to the VAT pre-announcement and the annual return. 
•    Active contribution in improving and implementing global operation processes and workflows as well as the development of global policies and procedures regarding the areas of accounting in IFRS and HGB. 
 

What you bring

•    Good knowledge of IFRS and regulatory reporting (Knowledge in other GAAP is a plus); 
•    Good experience with SAP FI  accounting systems and MS Office products; 
•    University degree in accounting, economics, finance or related field; 
•    Fluent in English, good communication skills (German  or another European Language is a plus) 
•    ACCA, CECCAR or similar diplomas are a plus. 
•    More than 2 years of experience in General Ledger accounting
