Job description

ASR International Corporation (ASR) is looking to add a Business Development Specialist/Professional on site at our Corporate Headquarters in Hauppauge, NY.  There is no remote opportunity for this position. 

Established in 1986, ASR solves mission critical challenges for clients in Government and Commercial sectors with our unique blend of proven experience, Global Touch Point capability, and cost-saving innovations in People, Processes, and Systems.  

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Analyze and assess Commercial and Government business development opportunities and ‘open the door’ to those opportunities.
  • Open the door to new companies offering First Article Inspection support.
  • Speak to/qualify companies to be partners. 
  • Review and analyze related RFP’s and SOWs to determine feasibility.
  • Perform market research for Commercial and Government opportunities to determine win threshold.
  • Create ‘must have’ experiences related to job specific requirements. 
  • Connect/communicate with key stakeholders in oil & gas, aviation, and other industries around the world for available opportunities.
  • Serve as Point of Contact for some contracts ensuring all requirements are met to terms of the contract
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC, First Article Inspection, Supplier Quality Inspections,  or willing to learn the concepts with minimal instruction
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding / ability to use Microsoft 365 suite
  • Familiarity with service-based industries/contracts  
  • Ability to quickly learn new standards and concepts
  • Perform work tasks with a High degree of accuracy and keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn, and serve in multiple roles with a dedication to overall progress of the company.
