We’re on the hunt for a dynamic Director of Engineering to inspire and lead a group of talented software developers in delivering cutting-edge technical outcomes. This pivotal role involves guiding and nurturing your team, ensuring top-notch engineering results, and fostering a collaborative environment within our integrated product and engineering teams. Your mission? To steer architectural progress, champion best practices, and drive innovative solutions while mentoring your team to new heights. 

How you'll add value:
  • Oversee one or more software engineering teams, working closely with the VP of Engineering and collaborating with Product Group leaders. Your leadership will be pivotal in aligning technical decisions with product goals and ensuring stellar engineering outcomes. 
  • Build strong relationships with the Product Group General Manager and Product Director to influence and drive technical decisions that deliver world-class results. 
  • Quickly master the architecture and workflows of your product group, ensuring timely project releases and providing ongoing production support and troubleshooting. Lead the charge in architectural advancements such as microservices and cloud initiatives. 
  • Provide guidance and support to your team, fostering an environment where quality and productivity flourish. Embrace Agile methodologies to help your team achieve their best work. 
  • Design and develop scalable, multi-tiered software solutions using both Microsoft and open-source technologies. Your expertise will drive the creation of robust, high-performance systems.   
  • Stay attuned to industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating new best practices and solutions into your team's workflows. Encourage a culture of learning and adaptability. 

  • What you'll need to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor of Science/Master of Science degree in Computer Science or equally relevant degree or an equivalent combination of education and applicable work experience  
  • 10+ years’ experience in an engineering position creating code-based solutions and tools  
  • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role leading multiple engineering teams in a director capacity  
  • Expert knowledge and experience with C#, SQL databases, cloud computing and/or mobile applications, APIs, distributed version-control systems(i.e. Git), Agile development concepts, and client-side frameworks and technologies(i.e. React, Angular and Bootstrap) 
  • Proven expertise in architecture design and workflows, software engineering methodologies, and creative problem-solving. Your ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues will be a key asset. 
  • Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across various levels in a dynamic, matrixed environment. Your professional demeanor and agility will foster a positive and inclusive team culture. 
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues clearly and effectively to executives, team members, and other stakeholders.

  • This position has a salary range of $176,800-$221,000. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
