A Brief Overview
Performs a variety of standard, recurring, and moderately complex financial analyses in support of revenue cycle operational business needs. Develops dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators, metrics, and financial opportunities for designated revenue cycle departments. Assists revenue cycle leaders in working closely with organizational stakeholders to improve financial performance based on analytic findings.

What you will do
Performs detailed analysis of financial and revenue cycle performance to identify trends, patterns, and root causes.
Completes regular root cause analysis of relevant financial transactions for assigned departments.
Monitors key performance indicators for assigned areas and explores reasons for performance fluctuation and deterioration.
Prepares summary findings of analysis for department leadership review.
Examines historical and projected financial data to provide stakeholders with valuable information upon which to make operational decisions.
Utilizes a strong understanding of revenue cycle applications, operational workflows, and regulatory policies to assist in analytic evaluations.
Cultivates internal relationships to assist in understanding department workflows.
Engages regularly with revenue cycle managers and directors on improvement opportunities identified through data analysis.
Analyzes, prepares, and coordinates distribution of various financial reports for internal Revenue Cycle use and as required for external constituents.
Maintains various financial databases and records for the reporting of financial data.
Develops and manipulates large data sets.
Provides analytics for and supports special projects as needed.
Education Qualifications
Experience Qualifications
Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
Prior experience in revenue management, patient financial services and/or health information
systems preferred
1-2 years of statistical analysis experience.
1-2 years Hospital Billing experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to analyze and develop solutions to complex problems.
Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions.
Ability to manage, organize, prioritize, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple form to non-finance users to understand the appropriate use and limits of information provided.
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats including summarizing data, presenting results.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Knowledge of hospital and physician revenue cycle methodology.
Knowledge of hospital information systems, including Epic.
Knowledge of business analytical practices and methodologies.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including strong knowledge of Excel.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $39.28 - $51.07 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
