You’ll spend time on the following:

Develop new features in existing systems.
Optimize various parts of the system.
Migrate to modern and cost-effective technologies.
Decompose the monolithic system into services, upgrade to .NET 8, and containerize them.
Transfer data from MSSQL to Postgresql.
Migrate CI/CD pipelines from TeamCity to Jenkins to align with the standard practices at Groupon.
Actively participate in roadmap planning to implement changes without adversely affecting the business, while ensuring time efficiency.
Document detailed steps with time estimates for the proposed changes.
Execute the planned changes and provide assistance to team members throughout the process.
Engaging in learning about other Groupon systems and being prepared to provide on-call support when needed.
The challenges may involve working with existing legacy code lacking proper documentation. You should have the ability to understand processes and make informed decisions on how to plan and execute the transformation mentioned above.

We’re excited about you if you have:

At least 6+ years experience in software development,
It would be advantageous if you had prior experience working in a startup.
Possesses excellent communication skills and demonstrates a proactive mindset focused on agility and performance.
Deep understanding of C# and .NET ecosystem
Good knowledge of React, Preact and TypeScript
Familiarity with relational databases like MSSQL or PostgreSQL
Experience with full lifecycle of microservice and web application development
