Job Title:  AWS Systems Administrator I

Position Overview: 

  • Installs new software releases, system upgrades, operating system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
  • Performs system backups and recovery. Creates an AMI (Amazon Machine Image) after OS patching.
  • Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Install, setup, configure, troubleshoot and administer new and existing Apache, PHP, Redis, Ansible, Tomcat and Oracle Application servers that provide Web-based services.
  • Install, setup, configure, troubleshoot and administer new and existing system support applications including but not limited to: McAfee, BigFix Client, FireEye Client, Nessus Tenable, Arcsight Log Archiver, IBM Direct Connect, Dell 

Requirements:

  • Five+ years Linux/Unix/Redhat (preferred RHEL 7) Administration Experience and 1+ Years f AWS Cloud Experience required.
  • Experience with Infrastructure As Code, CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps automation using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, CloudFormation and Puppet
  • Experience in automation and develop CI/CD pipelines for Automated Server Patching 
  • Experience with applying patches, debugging issues and building custom kernels as required to implement functionality and address security concerns.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting with languages such as Python, Perl, Korn, Burne/Bash.
  • Slid understanding of the software development process including requirements, use cases, design, coding, documentation and testing of scalable, distributed applications in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with SE Linux System administration experience in configuration and policy.
  • Experience with Network file systems (e.g., Lustre, NFS) and Ethernet Networking.
  • Experience with debugging issues with the Linux kernel including examining source code and using tools such as crash and systemtap.
  • Experience with RDMA Communications, Infiniband or Omni-Path high speed fabrics, including subnet management, IPoIB and/or IPoOPA mechanisms, fabric topology and health monitoring and integration with MPI.
  • Familiarity with automating approaches to configuring and maintaining (e.g., patching) systems in cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) environment and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organizational skills to balance and prioritize work, and ability to multitask.
  • Storage Manager, ManageEngine Patch Manager, and Manage Engine AD Manager.
  • Key skills, Network security groups, AD integration, Load Balancer configurations, AWS Direct Connect and Backup, Archival experience in addition to basic compute and storage experience i.e. EC2, EBS, S3 with automatic scripting using Ansible or Cloud Formation
