The Opportunity

The Client Director plays a pivotal role in managing long-term strategic planning, day-to-day activities and client relationship management within the business. You will have complete ownership and responsibility for setting and achieving the business’s annual revenue targets, including setting out future targets for new customers/markets, targets for the bid teams and expectations from each of the existing customers.

The role will involve:

  • Setting all revenue targets within the business, you will be setting targets for both existing customers but also ‘Aim Ups’ expected to realise potential growth targets for later years.
  • You will be working with the team and will be expected to maintain an up-to-date forward pipeline report of potential work, bids and renewals for the team to be working on to secure future business.
  • The client director should work with the Bid Manager to ensure they have the necessary support and access to SMEs to ensure a strong bid submission or SOW as required to secure the new work.
  • You are expected to meticulously evaluate the needs of their clients, understanding their unique requirements and expectations.
  • Working closely with all teams to provide outstanding service, both as a pre-customer advisory role and as relationship owner for established.

 

About You

To be successful as the Client Director, you will be someone who comes from a proven background in securing new business from ‘hunter consultative selling (achieving >10x annual salary) , from environmental/utility based markets. You should also have experience with client relationship management ensuring long term customer satisfaction.

In addition to this you will have extensive experience in strategic planning, relationship building and setting targets.

You will also have/be:

  • Industry recognised qualifications or relevant degree, or experience in senior leadership roles
  • Experience demonstrating ability for root cause investigation and determination
  • Experience leading a sales team to meet targets for the year
  • Strong communicator, both written and oral
  • Ability to manage your own workload and meeting requirements
