Job Description:

The Engineer II, Software Development will be an integral part of an Agile software development team responsible for the quality and value of the healthcare software applications provided to our customers. The incumbent will configure, code, and document software specifications throughout the life cycle of assigned projects.

The Developer will work independently to learn, maintain, and enhance existing applications as well as develop new code to accomplish business needs for data analysis and automation. The developer will work with other developers and business team members to develop and support important applications. The developer will be responsible for ongoing development projects and supporting legacy applications, working integrally and very closely with the Development Managers, Operations & Business Solutions.

Total relevant IT experience: 2 to 4 years.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development and a solid understanding of Java programming.
• The candidate should be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance Python and Java applications.
• Collaborate with the team to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Integrate Python and Java applications with external systems using APIs and web services.
• Ensure seamless interoperability between Python and Java components.
• Work with databases to store and retrieve data efficiently.
• Optimize database queries for improved performance.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
• Implement and maintain automated testing processes for both Python and Java components.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed systems and applications.
• Provide documentation and training to other team members as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work closely with the product management team to ensure alignment with business requirements.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Python Developer with a strong understanding of Java programming.
• Solid experience in developing and maintaining scalable web applications.
• Proficiency in Python and Java programming languages.
• Strong understanding of database systems (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, DynamoDB) & data structures
• Good Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
• Good knowledge on CI/CD and pipelines
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
• Knowledge of software development best practices and Agile methodologies.

Desirable:

US Healthcare & Analytics Domain experience

Qualification:

B.E/B.Tech, MCA, ME/M.Tech in Computer Science
